With over a decade of dedication to oil pastels, I've developed a distinctive style that bridges traditional techniques with contemporary expression. My work focuses on capturing the ephemeral—those fleeting moments of light and emotion that define our human experience.
Each piece begins with observation and feeling. I'm drawn to the rich, buttery texture of oil pastels because they allow me to build layers of color and depth that other mediums simply cannot achieve. The physical act of blending and layering becomes a meditation.
My studio practice is rooted in exploring the interplay between abstraction and representation, always seeking that balance where emotion meets form.

My Process
Creating an oil pastel piece is a journey from inspiration to completion. Here's how each artwork comes to life.
Observation
Every artwork begins with deep observation. I study light, shadow, and color relationships until the essence of the subject reveals itself.
Color Selection
Choosing the palette is an intuitive process. I select colors that evoke the emotional response I want the viewer to experience.
Layering
Oil pastels allow for rich layering. I build depth through multiple passes, blending and adding texture with each layer.
